Our Story
A few moments that shaped our journey, and why Okinawa feels like the perfect place to us.
How We Met
We met in college when we were 18 (wow we were so young :P). A mutual friend introduced us in the school cafeteria, and a few months later, we found ourselves in the same biology class. We became lab partners, and slowly, something more.
Over the years, we grew up together. From school days to figuring out adulthood, packing up our whole life in suitcases (Bay Area → LA → Hong Kong), trying new hobbies, and building little routines that eventually became home.
Why Okinawa
One thing that has always stayed constant in our relationship is how much we value presence — being there for each other, noticing the small things, and finding meaning in everyday moments. Those values quietly shaped the life we’ve been building together.
Okinawa became a place that holds all of that for us. The ocean, the blue skies, the slower pace — everything there invites you to be present. It’s also where Ryan proposed, so it felt only natural to gather the people we love and celebrate this next chapter here. We can't wait to share this place with you, and hope you’ll love it as much as we do!
